Default Buying a new bike Help

I have driven a 05 kawasaki 636 and thats a good bike but im trying to stay withing either a 05-07 honda cbr 600rr, or a 06 yamaha R6. I sat on the R6 but I will try to see if a friend will let me test ride his before i make any decion.

I want to know some opinoins on confort and things breaking and which people more like.

Read the bike buying 101 sticky. Everybody is going to have there own opinion on what they like. I say get a used bike one that is not a huge investment. Learn how to ride good. Being in the bike seen actively and riding will change your outlook on what you like or reinforce it. I have had an 05 CBR 600rr an 04 Kawi 636 and I currently have my favorite of all a 1972 CB350F.

I hope this helps! You can always stop in our shop and talk to myself or to my husband Shane and get a better feel for the differences in bikes. If you are local that is.

Well I just picked up my first bike it is an 06 triumph daytona 675 for the little bit of seat time i have actually had on her she is really comfy. I have had a real good friend ride her a few times and he has said alot of positive things about her compared to his 600rr. I am sure he will chime in and give his opinion

Just as a precaution, The 06-07 R6 is indeed a nice bike, But they are having some issues.
The 06 R6 has a few recalls: In affected motorcycles, the air filter mounting screws may come loose and fall out. If they do, they could get caught in the throttle valve which could prevent the operator from reducing engine speed properly. This could result in loss of control and a vehicle crash with injury or death.

Also some of the 06-07 R6 motors are going throwing rods. Yamaha corp is calling for wider bearings if you ever get a service on them.

I own a 07 R6 and love it. But just keep that in mind

You need to choose a bike that you like and feel comfortable with.

Everyone had their preference, mine being YAMAHA

Every bike will have their problems, recalls, and great reviews.

It's up to the rider to pick what the like.

This is very true. I love my Yamaha R6, They run and ride great.

Just passing on some information about them. So when he considers on what he wants to buy, he has a better idea on it.
