h22 into a civic hb.
wats up? i was about to order a h22 to drop into a civic but i need some feedback first. i was wondering if anyone knew about this swap. i heard that there isnt any room for A/C or P/S.... i dont need the P/S but i gotta have the A/C. If i was to do the swap would i just have to upgrade the brake like a big brake kit? anyways someone help me out. oh yea if anyone is on this board and they have done the swap give me feedback on if its worth it or not.

Place racing mount kit
2 holes in the factory tunnel for the cable shift
a/c p/s never seen any that had it but i don't know
stiffer springs and shocks up front
don't worry about the brakes that dosn't matter
have fun with the torque monster
any more questions?

Re: h22 into a civic hb.
haha driving tha car with no ps would be kinda scary....that shit will have a good amount of torque steer and i dont know how exactly a car with no power steering would deal with it...and to be honest with you, you probably can do it, u can do almost aything to your car as long as u have the money

A car with no p/s is perfectly fine you will harldy notice it this isn't a big ass old truck it is a light ass honda you will be perfectly fine with no p/s.
The 2 holes is for the cable shift because an H series trans is not a linkage type

Re: h22 into a civic hb.
P/s IS overrated it is not very diffrent than powersteering other than you can turn tighter. Why would you swap a H22 and want to keep a/c? that would kinda deffeat the purpose of haveing the h22 I would think. When I think of the H22 swap I think drag car, not a daily driver.

I used to have a CX and it was fine with no PS, but it came from the factory that way. When I dosco'd the PS belt from my SI, the steering was much heavier than the CX.
As for AC, I disagree. I think that's the beauty of the swap. Big honda motor in a light car that hauls tail but can do so without sweating your tail off in the summer. Just my preference though
