Buying my first sport bike, any tips?
whats up guys, I just sold my mr2 so I'm in the market for my first sport bike. I've ridden the dads old harley around the neighborhood a few times and used to own a mini bike but that's as far as my experience goes lol.. So I'm really not trying to kill myself right off hand. Any tips or pieces of advice from experienced riders? What kind of bike should I look for? Tips on how to ride? etc.. I'm working with about $6k for my first bike.

Take the MSF course.

I'm sure everyone will agree it's pretty helpful.
I took mine at the TCC campus in Chesapeake. I'm not sure if all the classes are booked but I would give them a call to check.

take the 2 of the 6k buy you like a ninja 500ex, or a Katana 600, something like that for around 2k, and take the MSF, your first bike you will more then likely drop, and you dont want to drop a 6k bike Buy the cheaper ones or similiar like i posted, get comfortable on a bike in traffic etc, then sell it for what you paid and buy you a 6k-7k bike
