hyundai head on a dsm
i know that there is a hyundai that has a motor that looks like a 4g63, i also know someone that has a second gen eclipse turbo. i asked him about mods cuz he claims 800+hp. he said it has a hyundai head, said they flow better than the eclipse head. im helpin a buddy build a 1g tsi and we are tryin to figure out head options and i was wonderin if that was true.

Re: hyundai head on a dsm
The only real benefit to using the Hyundai head is not for using it with a 4G63 motor. The benefit comes when you put the head on a 4G64 (2.4L) motor. The advantage of this is swapping from a single cam to DOHC. Of course it's not just a simple swap though, I believe you'll need shorter rods and different pistons. I'm not too sure but I don't think it's a direct fit to the 4G64. Anyway, the ending result will be a 2.4L block with a 2.0L head.
I planned on doing the swap a while back, but never sourced all the parts.
