Long story short, i payed a local mechanic shop $1000 deposit to do work on my car about 5 weeks ago or more. We agreed to get a new shortblock for my car and use my rebuilt head out of my old motor complete with a new timing belt, head bolts, and a few other minor things. He told me the day i payed him the car would be done in 2 weeks. Apparently, week after week i called him to check on the status of my car, he would either A) Not pick up his cell phone & his shop phone
B) He would pick up and tell me hell call me back in 30 minutes but never called back
C) Bullsh!t about how hes still waiting on the shortblock and should be here on monday or tuesday (every week he said that)

Well anyway, my dad went down there a few days ago since he was the one helping me pay for the labor and all. He told my father the shortblock was gonan come in last tuesday, well i waited untill yesterday and gave him a call again. I had remembered him saying he sent my Longblock to NORPA to have machine shop checked. I got in touch with NORPA to ask if they had recieved my head and they said they dont even know this guy and never recieved the head. So i called the mechanic at the shop (ill mention his name later on), and i asked him a few questions before i unleashed the facts and he said my head was currently in NORPA and the Shortblock was coming from Indiana from Jasper Motors. So i went to confront him about the Longblock that he said was sent to NORPA and he quickly changed stories and had a long pause and said "uh, well it was sent to norpa first, they didnt throughly look at it , and they said it was alright by a glance, but now it is at my boys shop in Alexandria". From this point on i knew he was Bullsh!tting and his true colors were finally unleashing. I got off the phone with him and then called Jasper Motors to see if they were shiping a Shortblock to his shop like the mechanic stated that would be here this monday, and they said they dont know who this guy is and there is no motor to be shipped in that zip code. They did a search on this guy. So i got my dad and went down to the Mechanic shop. As soon as he saw us pull in, he ran to his towe truck and said "i gotta go" and he left. I called the police and they came down, and in the meantime to my surprise a few other customers came down and were complaining to the mechanic about how he is fraud and they want there money back. It turns out this guy was trying to rob my $$$ and use my $1000 deposit to his expenses because from what i hear he is poor in money management. He probably wouldve fixed my car 3 months later by installing a used motor and some cheap crap. I talked to a local Mechanic shop that knows them and they told me to beware of this guy because he is renting there lot and he is always late on payments and has an excuse everytime and every customer always complains. Later on, i talked to the towe guy that works for the fraud mechanic and he told me he is fraud and he is planning on leaving his company shortly anyway because hes getting aggrevated by the BS and the late payments. He appologized to me and said it str8 up that this guy is a fraud and hes surprised that the business in still running. Well anyways, i got my $750 back but the Doosh took the rest. On the reciept it says he charged me $178.50 for towing, and hearing the noise in the motor which he said cylinder #3 spun rod bearing. Well, today he changed his story and charged me $250, so im definitely taking this to small claims court and putting this fraud mechanic and his shady business where it belongs. I think anyone who pays $1000 deposit and sees there car sitting behind a fence, never even moving an inch, ofcourse u would think yur being ripped off. And i did, sad but true. I got jipped off once again, if you wanna read about my last experience, u can check my previous posts. Anyways, its been a horrible 2005 for me. Atleast the Police were very helpful and gave me all there contacts info if i want to further persue this matter. Hopefully i can get my car running back on the road again soon cause i had it towed to a local mechanic shop ive done business with before and they always come through, and fast.

Mods, im just trying to prevent anyone else in the local area by getting ripped off so please dont close this thread, it has nothing to do with any dragva vendors or whatever. This guy promotes his company alot to attract young teens/adults expecially with the cars we own. I see 300zx's, DSM's. MkIII Supras, and all kind of cars sitting there. Sad part is, none of them ever move an inch, and im sure those will find out the truth about him soon. Its been 3 months since ive seen that 300zx sitting there, and all he needed was minor work. Anyways i thought id alert everyone. Thankyou for your time and sorry the post did not live up to the first sentence.

Hey your welcome, im just doing the best i can to prevent anyone else get ripped off wether they are car enthusiasts or just looking for normal repair on there vehicle. I found out that this guy has been kicked out from his previous location for late payments and customer complaints, he was located at:

He used to go by the name "Quality Auto Repair". He then moved down to Colonial Port Dumfries (if you get on possum point road) and he has a bad reputation up there already. He changed the name to Allstar Automotive & Autobody Inc. Im just mad at myself i didnt ask anyone else around about this guy because that probably would have saved me for the $250 i just loss for nothing. The towe bill was $30 and hearing the noise in the motor was $220?? I dont get this doosh bag, he changed the price the last minute when i demanded my money back. I know NORPA pretty well and they are very reputive company, they would never just "take a glance at a head and say its ok". NORPA already claimed that they dont know this guy and Jasper motors said the same thing. Just beware and alert as many people as you can. I just wasted my 5 weeks and got nothing out of it besides being charged $250 for crap he didnt do. He has definitely been trying to attract the young teens/adults or any car enthusiast for the matter. Beware!
