Weird sound coming from wheels
After I installed some drilled/slotted rotors and new pads I have a weird sound coming from that area. Kinda like the pads are catching on the slots. But they're not. Sound like a helicopter but not nearly as loud. Any ideas?

Probably just thick pads that don't have as much clearance as worn pads when they retract. It's not unusual to have rotors that aren't totally flat, but cheap rotors can be particularly bad in that department.

check the metal shims that go on the caliper bracket (if you have them installed) to make sure they arent making contact with the rotor

Re: Weird sound coming from wheels
I think it was just the new pads being so thick, they wouldn't retract all the way so they were tapping the slots. Because after driving and braking a few good hard times, it's stopped. Thanks peeps.
