Looking for a good uphosterer
I make my own gauge pod and need to get it wrapped in this material that I have. If there is anyone on here that can help it would be greatly appreciated! Please shoot me a PM if your interested or know someone that can do this. Here are some pictures and thanks again.

Re: Looking for a good uphosterer
go to walmart and get you a can of 3m spray glue...its a black can..11 bucks or so and do it yourself..
spray the glue on the cluster and the material...wait a few minutes and lay it on the top of the cluster and work your way around and down...
and unless you do a lot more bodywork/sanding on it first it will look like ass...

Re: Looking for a good uphosterer
I have the right contact adhesive to do it at work. I just don't know how I would get it to look right around the face and sides. Been thinking of just trying to do it myself but don't want to risk ruining it by not knowing what I am doing and have to make a new one.

Re: Looking for a good uphosterer
if you made it yourself...finish the body work and just paint it with some semi-gloss/satin black...it will be hard to get the material to form in the small contours
if you must have it wrapped get some stretchable fabric/vinyl...

Re: Looking for a good uphosterer
Contact Adhesive sprayed in a gravity feed or hlvp paint gun is the correct method to wrapping vinyl and whatever else. Spray can adhesives and a heat gun for the edges will work ok for a temporary solution but eventually will begin to peel.

Re: Looking for a good uphosterer
ps. if youre insistent on an upholsterer doing it, rays in the midlo area and corky's on the southside have done great jobs ive seen in the past. might do it pretty cheap since its such a small job

Re: Looking for a good uphosterer
I will finish filling it in and give it a few coats of semi gloss and post more pics for approval. Thanks for all the suggestions!

by the way, thanks to whoever was kind enough to graciously remove my hard earned positive rep and replace it with -43 points over simply offering an alternative to the OP...
