Renting a truck for out of state trip
I'm considering renting a truck to take a trip out of state to pick up a motor. I've checked Uhaul and they charge you by the mile, so that's off the table. I know Richmond offers more, but I'm not quit sure where to look. Any suggestions?

haha na there is really nothing bc when I had to go out of state a few times in the past few months to buy a few bikes , I kept trying to find something better than our work van that gets like 15mpg but I couldnt find anything.. Best bet is to find a buddy with a truck and rent it..

* 10% discount for reserving online and an additional 12% for AAA. Unlimited miles. The dog chauffeur costs extra. Go ahead and do your research, but I don't think you can do better than them. A caveat to that is I think they only have diesel trucks, but that may have changed. Good luck. Here's the link:

rent a truck from the enterprise or budget. I think they are fairly cheap. I rented a PT cruiser for a beach trip about 2 weeks ago and with added insurance and it was just over $70

keep in mind depending on what sorta engine your moving many regular cars can handle it. i mean its a rental right? just get something hatchback and if you feel nice put some cardboard in back, if your not feeling nice get full coverage and piss oil everywhere at will.

I know for a fact that you can rent a van or SUV from Avis, and unlimited mileage is included with the price. There is one on West Broad and one at the airport.

I like the Hatchback idea. If I can find a cheapy POS one to rent, I can throw that shit in the back and still get good gas mileage. Who rents them? Otherwise, I can still do Penske.

www.uship.com might be able to help if it's really long distance. Where is the motor located?
