Got out of 130+ in a 45 this morning...
Overview: I got out of a ticket going 130 in a 45 Going down Taylors Farm Rd (by Va Speed) then turning onto London Bridge extended.
I was going over to Pungo for the Beachcomber's third witer auto-x event. I was driving down a a road that was a short-cut from one main road to another. It's a new road and not traveled so I was tooling along at around 80. I don't know where the cop was sitting b/c I never saw him. Then I turned left, took off the traction control, and ran through the gear all the way to 4th. I looked in my review mirror and saw a white car with the distinct look of 5.0
I knew I was had so I simply pulled over. He turned on his lights and pulled in behind me. Cam up and asked for my license and registration; which I had ready and waiting. He asked are you in a hurry and where are you going? I said, "No sir, I was going way too fast just decided to open it up since no one was on the road. I'm on my way over to auto cross the car at Pungo." He says, "So your on your way to race the car and you needed to race on the street too?" Me, "Sorry sir, I was going way to fast and I need to keep it to the track."
He went off to run my info. Fortunately I have a clean record. I figured I was screwed and was hopping for no wreckless. I was thirlled when I saw him hop out of his car carrying only my license and registration. He came back and told me to keep it to the track and slow down. Then he said something stupid like "it's just not safe to take a slow car and try to make it go fast." I was thinking "WTF! This is the car I should be driving fast!" But since I was already in the green I kept my mouth shut.
Freakin' cops!

Damn right your lucky. Ive gotten pulled for like 5 over and gotten tickets. The latest was like 53-35, and the only reason i got up that fast was cause the car behind me (the cop but i didnt know) was flying down the street and i didnt want to get hit.
and I think the cop was right..your car is slow, and ugly. He probably felt bad for you for having to drive that car every day so he left you go
