Re: built ls
I had cp pistons and scat forged rods. Along with a new type-r oil pump, etc. Used a cometic head gasket and never had a issue. My car was on 10lb for about 25,000+ miles and never once even had a hickup.
Oh, my head was also built stock ls motors don't like to be revved past 7-7.4k. So you definitely need to at least upgraded springs and retainers. Cams wouldn't hurt.

Re: built ls
cspeedracing is the place to go, they have a lot of good tech write ups. if your going turbo you might as well do a ls/v. the better rod stroke of a ls and better flowing head of a VTEC series motor. There have been fully built lv/s to see 700hp

Re: built ls
"Better" R/S ratio for torque/power, not a "better" R/S for longevity, just so that there is no confusion.
