Default Engine rebuild... Shop suggestions

Need some shop suggestions or reviews on machine shops for the rebuild (to oem spec, no unobtanium rods or anything of that sort)of a B18c1. From other suggestions I'm leaning towards Barnettes, The Head Shop or Dunkums. The answers and statements several shops have left me running, scared and thinking of doing it myself e.g. "your vtec valves must be leaking" is my favorite at this point.

i would hope any shop can take care of you. I would say Abacus Racing and Machine has the most experience with Honda motors in the area and do awesome work. 363-8878

Exactly what I thought until I actually went in and talked to a few... One shop was under the impression that there were completely separate "vtec valves", and went through the process of explaining his version of how it worked...
