Re: piston and rod help
So you have new pistons and new wristpins on old rods? I'm guessing the difference is that the wristpins are new and aren't worn at all, and possibly a different tolerance grade than the old ones. Plus, if they don't have much lubricant on them yet.....
Are they tight enough that they don't move freely and are sticking...?

Fabrik8 clearify this if need be
would the clearances for the rods and wrist pins be different between the LS motor and the b16?
i just remember learning something along those lines in shop class ha

Re: piston and rod help
I seem to remember something about the LS rods needing to be resized or something like that. I can't remember any of that stuff anymore.

Re: piston and rod help
buy yourself a dial bore gauge and a quality micrometer. Measure con rod journal inside diameter and wrist pin outside diameter and subtract. Look up specs for rod to wristpin clearance and see where you are @.

Re: piston and rod help
b16 pistons fit right on, I just did it to a ls/vtec i just built so i know 100% they will. What you are thinking about fabrik8 is having to shave the fat end of the LS rod that way the other b-series pistons will fit (GSR,ITR,CTR)
