no , d series and b series trannys are not interchangeable. only teg he can get a tranny from is the 88-89 ( not sure the year is right , but its close ) that has the d16 zc motor.

yup, you'll need a cable b-series tranny. If you want good cruising gears, get an Ls trans, if you want a lil shorter gear ratio, go w/ the civic si trans. If you got some extra $$$ go for a j spec trans w/ an LSD
