Yep... tonight driving from Va Beach to my parents' in Greensboro, NC I got pulled over with my cruise set at 74 mph in a 65 zone. I have never ever gotten pulled for this speed and always been comfortable and felt "safe"
It was 12:30 or so and I came over a rise in the road surrounded by a few cars. It was in a 4-lane (per side) section of I85/I40 and the trooper was on the right side of the road.
He instantly pulled out and I knew he'd come for me... yellow Z06 + 12:30 am + borred cop. He was very nice, and I was very courteous. He asked if I knew how fast I was going and I told him, "Yes sir, I had my cruise set at 74." He replied, "I had you at 81." Me, "Are you sure, because if so my speedo is way off." He changes the subject (he lied about the speed to pull me) and noticed my out of inspection sticker I have the car in Va Beach and it's registered in NC so I never got it inspected.
He cuts me a "deal" and gives me a speeding warning, but a past due inspection ticket... which in NC is a whopping $135 In all it's the best outcome of getting pulled, the wallet is a bit lighter but oh well.

That's shitty. I know the curse of driving yellow "sports" cars....I got pulled on a regular basis for stupid things when i had my ITR...
p.s. i put the quotes around sports car in reference to my car. Yours is a real deal sports car...

No worries... ITRs are "real" sports cars. They're purpose built to to handle better and go faster.

Must be a bored NC cop thing.
Ive always thought the same thing - under 10 over and you are good.
My gf got a ticket not long ago for 8 over in NC coming back from nags head one night and she drives an accord.
