Who here Kayaks?
So I went Kayaking for the first time today and really it was pretty fun. I went out at like 12:30 this morning than went out to the James River from Powhatan Shores. I didn't get out to the James till 3:30 because me and my friend had a dilemma to face with but I finally got back at 5 and I think I found myself a new hobby. i was struggling at first but I got the hang of it.

neighbor loves it, hes part of some group that kayaks across the bay each year. Ive tried it, didn't grip me like i thought it would. There's an area in vb only accessible by small craft/kayak that is the only place in va you can find the canebrake rattlesnake species, and while we've all probably seen that monster of a rattler at the va aquarium, I'd like to see one in the wild, least once.

theres parts of the bay where the distance is def NOT that far, 4 miles sounds further then these guys go when they make the trip, at least one way, anyway. i think it must be near the mouth of hte bay, right off cape henry

i wouldnt say they were agressive, more weary than anything. the larger of the two was basking on a fallen tree by the waters edge. when we saw him he didnt take off. He stood his ground, pretty crazy how their minds work.
