All Motor D16
I lookiing into building my D16z6 to get it around 200 hp wihout having to turbo it. I'm goin to replace the header, exhaust, camshaft, throttle body and possibly bore it out some as well as get it tuned. My real question which brands do you suggest for this kind of build?

A different motor.
Good luck.
If you want a single cam to make DECENT power NA...go with an F-series.
Everyone, including myself, is going to tell you it is pointless and a waste of money. An engine you may spend 5k to MAYBE make 200hp, will get it's ass waxed by a single cam turbo setup that might cost a grand.

Re: All Motor D16
Sad...very.
Hey guyz...I'm going to completely tear down, machine and clean, rebuild with all new parts, and spend an assload of money, on a motor that MAY net 160hp/115tq.
Seriously dude. The z6 motor can withstand up to ~250hp/200tq to the wheels without problem. Piece together a GOOD turbo kit (good manifold, turbo, piping) and tune it...and you will be much happier with the results.
And it will be more cost effective compared to trying to achieve the same numbers NA on that motor.

Re: All Motor D16
my suggestion is that if your looking for power near 200 on a d-series?, you might as well swap a ls and go turbo, will cost less and will produce more than any single cam all motor set up

Re: All Motor D16
Thats not even a real all motor D setup. You're talking bolt ons as far as I'm concerned.
A re-bore for oversized pistons isn't going to give you very much displacement difference so that's pointless unless the block needs it.
13.1:1 CR with D16A1(PM7) pistons, big ass cam, fully built head, hell get some ITBs and then you have a REAL all motor D series.

No, really.
