i have a 95 vw vr6. my battery died so i got a jump and it drove it home.it ran great all the home. the next day i bought a new battery tried to start it and now it wont crank over at all.bought a new starter ecm relay.everything works just wont crank over. please help.

 

She's a total loss.

So the engine doesn't rotate when you try and start it?

 

no the starter wont engage. i can turn the engine over by hand. i know the motor is not locked up.

 

Have you checked the cable running to the starter itself?

 

yea ive checked everything.ive even bypassed the factory alarm and still nothing. i replaced the ignition switch about a year ago so i didnt think that that would be it but im thinkin thats the only thing it can be.

 

hey bud, where are you located, If you can find a way to get it tour shop. We can get it back running for you.

 

you could also take a big speaker wire and try and jump strait to the starter, or pull starter out and see if it jumps when you apply power
