Default Any KA9 owners?

In 2009, I set out to find a car that was ungodly reliable and did not want to get a manual because I knew that I would destroy it. I previously owned a 1995 Maxima that blew the transmission a month after I got my RL. It was an auto....

I have put in time deciding on what mods I wanted to have but found that the RL does not have much aftermarket support in the US. I was bummed until I found that the Legend shares the same chassis as the 96-04 RLs (i.e, KA7/KA8/KA9) and also found that coilovers for 1st gen TSXs and Accords around those production years would fit. The 3rd gen TL coilovers would also fit.

After a yearish of research, I decided that Koni reds and H&R springs for the Legend would be my decision in lowering my ride. It has been at least 2 years being lowered. This is the best car I have ever owned, despite it only being my 3rd.

Is the model actually called "KA9"? Never heard of one of those, but it looks pretty cool.

Thanks guys!

@keef
The chassis code is KA9. It's the code for all 96-04 Acura RL models. Mine is an '02

Ahhh got it, bit silly using a chassis code to describe a vehicle though! Still cool.

People do that in basically every type of car. There's so many different models it's easier to sort the year models that had the same chassis code. Helps to narrow down compatible body panels, interior pieces, so on, so forth. Like an 1989-1994 240sx is known as a S13, 1990-1994 Sentra is known as a B13, '87-'91 civic is an EF, '86-92' supra is an A70; after that is the A80, unless of course they're the twin turbo models, then they're known as JZA70 or 80.

OP, TL looks very clean. It's subtle but it still stands out in it's own way.
