JOB SUMMARY AND MISSION

The Driver / Warehouse Associate performs receiving, stock keeping, picking, packing and shipping activities. He or she will also be responsible for counter sales, housekeeping and related quality assurance activities. This position will also require the proper candidate to drive a delivery van and 20' stake body truck.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive a delivery van and 20' stake body truck
• Handle all incoming shipments
• Perform verification of purchased products and enter order receipts into WESCO’s computer system
• Perform quality assurance inspections when appropriate
• Place received material, after segregating backorders, into proper warehouse storage locations. When appropriate, relocate and consolidate material and notify management of new bon/table locations
• Pull, pack, weigh and label materials for shipment (including assemble & hold orders)
• Prepare bills of lading and express receipts
• Assist in loading the trucks
• Prepare local delivery records and complete applicable blocks on the pick ticket
• Maintain appropriate forms pending return of material
• Inspect condition of returned material prior to completing return authorization forms
• Pull stock and return it to the correct location pending credit memo, sale or return to supplier
• Clean warehouse and trucking/parking area
• Assemble and disassemble bins, racks, shelves and tables as needed
• Administer preventative maintenance programs to delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety practices for warehouse operations
• Record verbal/written complaints from customers concerning dissatisfaction with product or service provided. Process the complaint by responding to the customer with the action taken to correct the problem or directing the complaint to department supervisor/manager when necessary
• Maintain counter stock as needed
• May assist with over-the-counter sales

Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Possess a valid driver's license
• Adhere to all WESCO rules and policies
• Be on time for scheduled work day and complete all work hours required
• Pay strong attention to detail
• Possess basic computer skills
• Work in a team environment and get along with co-workers
• Understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Operate hand and power tools and equipment
• Adapt to changing situations and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Anticipate and prepare for customer needs
• Lift a minimum of 25 pounds

EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years experience in both driving (non-CDL) and warehouse work

Do you have any idea what a starting point for pay would be im very interested

 

damn if my driving record wasnt messed up iwould be perfect for this

 

well considering you posted your experience...anywhere from 7-10 an hour i would guess

 

I'm a rocket scientist so I'm going to need $35 an hr.

 

LOL good luck with that. Pay is variable 10-15hr depending on experience.
