K, figured out the budget and everything and I have options for the new motor. It feels great to have options!!

Anyway, first option, built mach performance 4.3. Runs on pump gas, bowtie block and heads, yada yada yada. 375hp 450tq. $4000

Second option. Built 4.3, 12:1 compression runs on race gas. Estimated at 400hp 500tq. $3000

Third option, LS1. Would build the motor single turbo, and numerous LS6 parts. $3-$5000

Fourth option 400 small block. Slightly built, 400hp. $3500

All options will include new diff and tranny more than likely, just need to choose whether I want 6 speed or not.

You can use a six speed with any of the V8 options that you listed. Also for the LS1 swap Jags That Run has the mounts available, but you may want allow more budget for that especially with a turbo setup and LS6 goodies.

I'd have to agree with LowrdBlz, Jags that Run has a lot of good information and a lot of good parts for the conversion. Your budget seems to be a little low. Remember that you will need all the engine accessories, exhauset, radiator, and especially a wireing harness.

There is actually a review of it in a magazine this month. Did 1100 hp on 100 octane gas with an intercooler. 850 or so hp on 91 octane w/ no intercooler.

No. It's one of those "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" things I'm sure.
