ive decided i wanna boost my ek coupe but before i do that i wanna go with stand alone fuel management and i heard hondata is good but my boy jus hooked up megasquirt to his ecplise and its amazing does anyone run megasquirt on their honda? where is a good reliable place to get it and what should i expect to be dealing with? any suggestions? jus getting some general ideas thanks! dustin

you'd be stupid to run megasquirt when there are at least 4 engine managment systems that utilize the stock ecu and wiring harness....2 of which are free aside from paying to have the ecu chipped.

get hondata. MS&S is more for custom projects where there's really no other options. It's very basic. Hondata will do 1000 more things.

personally i'm not a fan of hondata except for kpro. If your gonna spend that kinda money then get neptune. Its a badass program. If not then get crome because it will do basically everything that s300 does and in some cases has features the s300 doesn't have...and well s200 is just a huge waste of money nowadays since it doesn't even have adjustable ect and iat corrections.

Just use CROME and a free datalogger from forum.pgmfi.org, which conveniently seems to be down at the moment.

read up and socket your ECU yourself, buy a chip programmer($50 ebay) or ostrich ($100?)
