oil problem
I have a 93 cx stock. it burns oil a lot, i say 3 qts. every 4-5 fill ups. Ok so last night was my day that i filled up and put oil into my car. I put three quarts in and start up and drive off. Then after about 5 mins of driving my oil light comes on. Then i checked the engine, no oil dripping or anything. I check the dipstick it says i am full of oil. BUT when i turn the car off and turn it back on the light doesn't cut on for like another 5 mins. So im like WTF. I think it might be the oil sending unit, or the pump might be bad. Tips? thanks!

Re: oil problem
Well if tis full and the light comes on is a pressure issue i think Hondas are under 9psi will cut the light on. When idling is when the least amount of oil pressure is present. Umm check your oil pan to see if its smashed first hopefully thats it. Oil pickup unit are really easy to crimp by bottoming out. then probably oil sending unit or pump. ect ect

Re: oil problem
If the car isn't smoking at all or you aren't leaking any oil could be that sensor. Hook up a oil pressure gauge and see where it's at, if the pressure is right then you know what the problem is.
