h22a swap in 96 prelude
I bought a 96 prelude as a project car. it has a jdm h22a and hasn't been running since the swap was put in. the problem is not getting fuel. the pump works and it is getting fuel to the rail. I do not see a resistor box and the ecu is a p13. My question is with the stock jdm inectors OBD1 do you need to have a resistor box or should they work without one. I am getting spark all grounds are connected (yes the one on the thermostat housing is) just no fuel and no cels.

yea you need the resistor box, you might have damaged the ECU trying to start it without one. get a resistor box and see what it does, if you get fuel but still have an issue, blame the ECU next

you could buy one online but they're prob overpriced for what they're really worth. you can use a DSM one, I don't remember the difference between the plugs though. anything that has low impedance injectors will have one, and the wiring is fairly simple to convert to whatever application you need.

No, you don't need a resistor box with obd1 injectors, they are already high impedance so it isn't necessary. Obd0 injectors need a resistor box because they're low impedance.

Eh, OBD1 JDM Prelude/Accord injectors are low impedance, that's how I know you can kill a P13 trying to run without a resistor box.
Edit: Might even be USDMs as well, deff the OBD1 Prelude/Accords though. I don't fuck with USDM H series though.

Re: h22a swap in 96 prelude
If you're running high impedance injectors(so you don't need a resistor box), there is a "dead/jumper" plug that plugs in where the resistor box goes. This basically connects the injector signal wire to the 4 injectors. You need the resistor box if your injectors are the ones for that engine. If you didn't need it, you can take a 6 pin dizzy plug, repin it correctly, and tie the 5 wires together.
