My First Autocross
My first autocross, with the Capital Driving Club ( http://members.cox.net/capitaldrivingclub/ ), went great! I had a blast, good weather and a pretty fun course. I did way better then I was hoping, and even got compliments from a bunch of experienced drivers who were surprised it was my first time
To everyone who is interested in autocross, but a little scared to actually try it, just DO IT! You'll probably surprise yourself with how well you do. I sure did! Everyone I spoke to was helpful and easy to talk to, so don't feel shy.
Anyway, here are some pics, and I've got two videos to post up, as soon as I find a good host. Let me know what you think: suggestions, tips, and what you think I should add next (tires/wheels, shocks & springs, etc.)

Re: My First Autocross
congrats...next mod??? seat time...miata's do pretty damn good stock with a good driver...get a bit more experience in it, and change what you feel you need to...but most likely a set of tires would be the first...

Tires/wheels it is! That's what I was leaning towards...thanks for the input :-)
And don't worry about the seat time part...This autocross stuff is like crack.
I'm hooked for life.

Actually I'm kinda hoping that'll happen. I wanna head out to summit sometime in the near future...Now THAT would kick ass.
By the way, I appreciate the gateway drug humor there...that had me laughing pretty hard.

I have no doubts that it will happen. I'm already about to sink about a grand into wheels/tires, which will be dedicated track wheels. I'll keep my stockies for the street. :-D
