A 13.04 E.T. bested al comers at Hampton's The Dyno Shop's Open House Saturday. Challenges from every thing from a Carrerra Porsche to a 427 powered '55 Chev came close, but by 6 PM EST, the turbo'd/intercooled Toyota MR-2, w/o squeeze, claimed the prizes. With the first month of competition now under their belt, the newly formed ND2RA, National Diagnostic Drag Racing Association, seems poised to garner a lot of national motorsports press. Members of Hampton Roads governmental leaders and local law enforcement were there to see what all the fuss was about. They liked what they saw. The new ND2RA slogan, "Knowledge Is Power, How fast Can You Go?", was a hit and several requests for speakers were placed with the association management. Speakers and seminars are available to local groups who want to learn more about the hazards and alternatives of dangerous and illegal street racing as well as learning the subilties of drag racing.
