vtec
I have a 92 prelude . I swapped and h22 in it and i cant get the vtec to engauge. I wired the vtec myself and i have double checked everything. is there anyway that vtec sileniod could have gone bad. Someone told me that if i mised a plug on the harness that the ECU wont allow vtec to engauge but i have no check engine lights or anything. sugestions would be great..........

i wish i didnt have to work nights while Chris was doing my swap. I would have watched him wire it.
clogged vtec pressure filter, bad wiring, the car not warming up, low oil pressure. pretty much same as others... if you hooked up the speedo wrong you would go into Limp mode. i also read, that if your oil pressure sensor wasnt hooked up right you would throw a check engine right away.. soo.. dunno
www.preludeonline.com <-- worth the 6 bux a year to register to me. all the doods in ntpog are insanely knowledgeable about the h22's

I DONT HAVE ANY CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON THE ONLY THING THAT IS UNHOOKED ON THE HARNESS IS THE SPEEDO. I HAVE TOOK THE VTEC UNIT OFF AND CLEANED ALL THE SCREENS. I had this motor in a past prelude and the vtec worked. All i did was just change everything to another prelude. Does a h23 have a knock sensor ?
