boost and nitrous?

boost and nitrous?
Anyone out there running the two? I was thinking if you spray the nitrous before you hit boost you should be okay if the motor is built right. It would be taking a chance but would be a nasty setup.

Re: boost and nitrous?
Just like anything else, the engine will do perfectly fine if it is built strong enough to take the cylinder pressure and is tuned properly. There really isn't anything magic about it, the engine must be able to handle the power made with the turbo and also handle the extra power from adding nitrous on top of that. Or you could just forget about the nitrous and have a boost controller which allows multiple boost settings or a scramble boost function. If you want more power, turn the boost up.
There are actually a lot of people who use nitrous at fairly low RPM to help spool large turbos, so you're not doing anything remotely new here. That's actually easier because you're using nitrous before the turbo is at full boost, so the engine only has to be strong enough to use nitrous or boost and whatever the overlap region between the two comes out to be.
