Default Toyota specialist shop DC/MD/VA

Hi all!

Before you say it, yes I've read the sticky, but I need a little more detailed info. I'm looking for a shop that could handle a swap I can guarantee they've never done before. I want to swap a 3sgte engine from a JDM '98 Toyota Caldina into a '92 Toyota Celica Alltrac.

The swap isn't super complicated (except for the wiring) as it pretty much bolts in. But there are one or two custom bits that could trip up an inexperienced shop.

I want this to go smoothly without leading into unexpected cost and time delays. So I need a recommendation for a real quality shop, with top level techs, and hopefully experience with Toyotas.

I've been thinking about trying out Road and Track, because they advertise experience with Toyota. But from their website they come across as more of a maintenance and install shop as opposed to a fab shop.

ISP seems pretty like it might be okay, but I they don't seem to have any experience with Toyotas, plus I can't find any reviews on their work in the vendor section. Which makes me a little wary.

Know anything more about the shops in question? Am I missing any good candidates that could handle the work?

Thanks for the help!
J.

ISP actually has one of the areas best Supra techs I have ever met, not too sure of every type of Toyota but im sure they can and will get it done give them a call, ask for Peter. He will either tell you ya or nay. Tell him Delonte' (D-Lon-tay) said to give you a call.

I like the old Celica swaps, is this the AWD swap or just the FWD. Good Luck with the swap, im down to try and help if you need help, don't know to much about Toyota's except the recalls LOL j/k. But i have done plenty of mix/match swaps

ISP Racing, or Xceptional Auto. Both are some of the most experienced/knowledgeable Toyota guys I know of in the DC/Md/Va area.

Thanks guys!! That's the info I was looking for. I'll check out ISP and Xceptional and see who gives me a good vibe.

Yes, the chassis is the AWD celica turbo. I'm just putting a much newer 3sgte engine in it. Like I said, nothing too crazy. I just want to make sure the shop won't lose it if they run into a snafu or custom bit.

Thanks for the help!
