Default trade for bike work

hope the mods don't mind me posting this here, but i figured this is where i might actually get a response.

anywho, i'm looking for a set of stock "steelies"from a 6 lug truck (fullsize chevy/gmc, toyota, mazda, nissan etc)
the ghetto looking ones that no one ever wants. don't care about tires. looking for the old style rims that are usually found under hubcaps. 14" 0r 15".

willing to trade some bike work for them. not to worried about the finish, just that they're straight and usable. i bought an old school mazda b2200, and i'm gonna build a lil hot rod style mini out of it (red rims with s/s trim rings, fat whitewalls, flat black paint, pinstriping, lowered, etc) to carry bikes around in.

someones gotta have some laying around collecting dust.

feel free to flame my truck.. lol

red with stainless beauty rings and stainless dome caps, like old school smoothies. look in the newest issue of tailgate magazine at the black and red ranger, and you'll see what i mean.

There's a beat ass Ranger for sale cheap around the corner from me Steve. I was thinking about a similar theme. Satin black, red wheels, in the weeds, with a Mexican blanket covering the bench seat! I need a freaking truck badly. I've been without for a few months now and have passed up way too many free/cheap parts and projects for lack of a pickup. Sucks!

I'm going the same route with my '77 Datsun.

Have you checked out Summit's Wheel Vintiques selection? They're pretty affordable, and you can get the rings and dog dishes there, too.

I've got ONE old 14" steelie from my Datsun with a dry-rotted tire on it if you want it. If I had to guess I'd say it's a 14x6. Surface rust and all that, but it's yours if you want it.

got it taken care of, got a set of nissan 6 lug steelies with stainless trim rings, and tires, for $40 off craigslist. got the truck half primed, still have some more body work to do before i shoot the d90 primer (hot rod black) and the red scallops on it. lowered it this morning (4" blocks and turned torsions). now just waiting for my 3" whitewalls to get here. it'll look something like this when it's all done. nothing special, just a cheap shop truck. this isn't my truck btw, it looks like crap with the dark grey primer, but you get the idea.

yeah, i finally sold the cadi, so i got a truck. i was missing out on alot of buisness b/c people had bikes that didn't run and had no way to get them to me. i paid $800 for the truck, she runs sweet, and the a/c blows cold. can't beat that. no rust on the truck anywhere, just a bunch of dings all over the place. new timing belt/water pump/plugs/wires/cap/rotor/brakes all within the last 6 months, so she ought to be good to go fo a while.

i find deals on old beater trucks all the time, i can keep an eye out for you if you want. just gve me a number to work with, and i'll see what i can come up with. check craigslist though, there's all sorts of good deals there.
