Default Advice for Williamsburg

My wife really wants to go to Williamsburg, mainly to go to Water Country USA. I am not thrilled about it, but I booked us a weekend down there. I figure we can go to Water Country one day and go to the outlets or other attractions the rest of the weekend.

I have only been to Williamsburg a couple of times, so I am just looking for some cool places to check out while we are there. Also, are there any nice/classy restaurants that anyone recommends.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Fat Canary for restaurants for casual. Opus 9 for staying classy. Busch Gardens also, check to see if they have 1 ticket for both parks. Go-karts plus, sort of. Colonial Williamsburg if you like that type of thing.

Good ideas, I just checked out Opus 9 and it looks really good, we may have to check that out.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, I have never been to Water Country, but I have never really heard great things about it. The wife really wants to go, so I figured we could give it a shot.

If you have kids stay at Great Wolf Lodge for the water park and arcade. Personally I like Busch better then Water Country, but see what kinda deal you can get since maybe you can get both parks for the weekend. For sure check out the Outlets for some shopping. If you spend half the day at the outlets it might be worth it to check out Jamestown Settlement or Colonial Williamsburg and see the museums and such. If you go to Colonial Williamsburg check out The Fat Canary (my favorite place in town). If you are down Richmond Road I also recommend Food for Thought which is a great restaurant also. If you end up in Newtown I'd check out ether Opus 9, or Bonefish. Sweet Frog in Newtown is really good too (frozen yogurt chain)

For lunch a lot of locals say go to the Cheese Shop in Colonial Williamsburg (kinda pricey for what it is), and if it is the week day Ichiban in Newtown has a all you can eat sushi special thats pretty decent. If its nice and you like to take scenic drives you can drive the Colonial Parkway and head to Yorktown beach if you wanted to

Highlights:
Busch
Water country
Outlets
Colonial Williamsburg
Jamestown
Parkway drive

*Oh and watch out, town of old people driving around like maniacs
