cant seem to get vtec working???? help please
ok i recently done a b18c r swap in my 93 eg and it fired right up after getting a left hand drive harrness but vtec doesnt work? i even made sure my car was wired up for vtec since its a 93 but it had a b20/vtec in it before so its wired up sooo help please i put new oil in it and i kinda over filled it like a half inch would that be a problem?

I'm not the smartest guy on all this stuff, but I do know VTEC works off of oil pressure. Might be the VTEC solenoid, could be the ecu-are you sure it's a VTEC ecu? Chipped for VTEC, if not? I'd make sure of those first. Oh, and did you fill it up a half inch too high on the dipstick? If so, I'd pull the plug real quick and drain some off til you're good again. Jus my .02

I know what the problem is... you need a replacement VTAK for the rear to mate to the VTEC in the front. Since they run asynchronously, if one fails then the other tries to handle the load, failing catastrophically....
