Hey, I'm buying a bike this weekend and I'm going to pay cash for it, how do I go about getting a temporary tag. I have researched on the dmv website and they said that all I need is the title and proof that it's registered, but I'm not registering it in Va...just wondering if anyone has gone through this or knows what to do...Thanks...

 

i could be wrong but i dont think you can get a temp tag. the only way to get a temp tag in the state of VA is if you buy it from a dealer and the vehicle has either been VA inspected or rejected. the only thing i know of is DMV does issue a transport tag type thing and you might be able to do that.

I know. There are a million friggin' bikes newer, cheaper, and all around better than this one but for some reason I keep coming back to it. Guess we'll see though

I promise you bikes are not always what they seem. You get waht you pay for with me!

 

Bikes are allot easier when it comes to searching for faults before buying one than cars are. Scratched plastics; repainted......engine noises, trannies that miss gears when shifting and the like.
