Default rebuild starter

I have a 94 Accord 5spd.
Where can I get my starter rebuilt in Newport News, Hampton or Norfolk and how much would be an estimated cost?

There's a place on Bonney Road in VA Beach and all they do is rebuild starters and alternators. Forgot their name though, good luck.

I spent all day today trying to get my starter tested for free at autozone, but all three autozones here in hampton testers are broke. I went to advanced auto, and after waiting for 1 hr for them to come back from lunch, they finally came out and tested my car.....only to tell me that they cant tell me if my starter is bad or not.
Do you recommend taking it off for them to test it?
Is it better to get one from a junk yard? or try to get it rebuilt?

Any one else have any other places that I could check to try get it rebuilt?

well, if you remove it, it wouldn't be hard to test it nor would it be difficult to rebuild it yourself. personally i like Browning's alternator and starter exchange. they do VERy good work.

Brownings starter and alternator repair. They have fast service and have been able to repair everything I brought in. Very reasonable prices too. Most places wanted 250-300 for a rebuilt alternator for a sentra, if they could even find it. They rebuilt it for $110.

You people really need to keep me in mind. Why not just buy a new one?

I do most of the work on my car myself, so you are saying, it might not be that hard to rebuild myself? How would I go about doing this?

Also, does anyone have a number and address for Brownings?
