Lotus Exige

Yeah so this fall the lotus exige will be for sale in the US. The only thing is, its the same powertrain as the standard US elise. Upgraded chassis, ran 2 seconds faster then the elise on a 2-mile test track.

My guess, idiots will buy it, salesman at dealer gets them hyped to take it to a road course, run the worst laptimes, yap their mouths and make the car look horrible. Big interforum war.

 

Something to look forward to someday when I can afford one used.

 

I still can't decide if I would rather have an Elise or an Exige. Even though an Elise is a little softer than an Exige, it's still a REALLY hardcore automobile. I will own one or the other.

btw, someone balled one up out here this past weekend at the racetrack.

Yeah. The Elise is kind of an ugly car in my opinion. I vastly prefer older Lotuses to this model.

 

I'll take 4.. Black, Yellow and Black, Orange and Black and Red..

 

If you base your opinion on looks, for the love of God please don't buy an Elise.

 

I just went and sat in an Elise we have on our used car lot. I'm 6'3" and I fit perfectly, with several inches of headroom to spare. I want one so bad.

 

Haha, but what you didnt mention is how hard it is to get in and out of. It took me a couple minutes to contort myself into a manner that would allow me to get in one apendage at a time. But once in, it felt damn cool.
