Default Chevy Rear-End Needed

Posting for a friend.

He blew out the rear end in his 95 1500 4x4. The axle number is GU6. Not sure about the gear ratio or anything, but if you have anything, please PM me.

unless it thrashed the case, its cheaper to rebuild one. more then likely, it has a bad pinion bearing, and some spider gears broken too.....(most common failure on them that i have seen)

400 in parts, 200ish labor and its new again.

Tell him to swap it to a 14bolt. It is a much stronger axle than the stock 10 bolt.

This is one of my buddies. he as a 14 bolt for sale but if you go to 14 bolt in then you will ahve 8 lug so you might consider doing 8 lug in the front or something.
