how many people on here have a test pipe and do you guys like them or is it a waste of money.

well it's cheaper than a high flow cat...
not sure how useful it is on na cars, but on turbo cars it's usually a shit load
I run a cat btw...

I have straight pipes, but just moved to a county that does emissions tests.

Test pipes are GAY. When you can get a carssound cat for almost the same price and lose like what 1hp vs. a test pipe? Whatever....

There's an exception for rotaries, we run about 500 degrees hotter than a piston motor. So, we need "special" cats that can stand up to the heat. Random Tech is the only people that I know of off-hand that make rotary-specific cats. Also, we'll burn up fiberglass packed mufflers too, need mufflers that have stainless-steel packing/wadding.

i like my test pipe. the nitrous feels more effective without a cat and the exhaust doesnt really smell.
