I was driving down jefferson blvd. this past weekend and saw a 4 door neon with a targa top !!!!!!!! The guy looked like he just took a saw and ran it across the top off the car and went a drove it. I wish i would have had a digital camera !!!!!!!!!!!!So be on the look out

 

Woudln't cutting the roof up make the car implode?

 

i wouldn't count on it, but i would like to think the structural integrity of the car would be greatly compromised since the it was not designed that way.

 

ive seen a t top accord before at a nopi show. looked really nice, and seemed very nicely done, but all professionally by a company who was building the show car. i dont know about doing it yourself though, maybe an ostrich learned to fly and dropped a giant egg on the roof and made a hole, so he just chopped out the rest.

If I owned a neon that's exactly what I'd do to it...

I like neons, they are just kick-ass!

 

That thing should be super twisty without the roof intact, and I'm assuming the guy didn't X-brace the chassis or put in a solid cage..
del Sols have a flexing problem with the top off, and they were designed with the targa, so I can just imagine what that hacked up neon feels like..
I can't think of a better thing to do with a neon than cut it up.. =)

 

its true. We saw it like about a week ago. We almost wrecked the WRX cuz we were laughing so hard. When we saw it, the neon was going down jeffereson too.
