So I decided that I am going to just make my Rx-7 an illegal street car and buy myself another beater so I can drive the 7 for fun only.

This is what I am going to be doing:
3" downpipe that exits on the passenger side (no exhaust/cat basically)
Open atmosphere BOV
Open atmosphere WG
Car backfires a lot of fire
...and it's a rotary engine so of course it's gonna sound like the end of the world when I run this.

Think I'll get pulled instantly on the road if I try driving around like this?
Would you do this?
Should I just write myself up a fine now? What's the chances around here of getting in deep shit with the law for this?

 

um yea. my friend just rebuilt his fc and its open downpipe (for now) and its loud as fuck

Plus it's gonna run. It has compression and was trying to start up last night. I'm just having spark issues at the moment.

Better get a cutout. You WILL get pulled. There are guys in STOCK evo's gettin pulled for STOCK exhaust.

 

Yeah, a Cutout would definitely be a good idea. Wouldn't a cutout fuck up the flow of the exhaust though when you're running normal exhaust?

 

I don't think so. It'd just be like havin stock exhaust until you hit the switch.
