air intakes question......
i really dont know the difference between the cold airintake and just the air intake ....need a liitle help here ....thanks in advance.......

a cold air is better. When air is colder, it is more dense, and when air is more dense the oxygen can work together with the fuel to create a stronger explosion, thus making more power. Similair to what a hood scoop or intercooler works to accomplish.
As for where to get a car fixed... I guess that depends on the kind/value of car. When I'm working on my Mustang, I only use dealership/OEM parts. However, when I'm working on the Honda, I'll use NAPA parts.

Just to add a little more, a cold air intake will make power at lower RPM than a short intake, simply because of it's length. Apples to apples, for the same intake air temp, a short intake will make better top end power than a cold air. This is one of the reasons you can also find short intakes with a heat shield for the filter. This gives the power of the shorter length intake with the lower intake temps of a cold air intake.
