I have to give my most sincere thanks to Razmus for he is truly a great friend of mine...
Last night my son (dsmpwr25)and a few of his friends were coming back from a get togther at TNT and had an accident, a bad one . Razmus was in the car behind them and saw the whole happen...from what He tells me I'm a very lucky man I have a son and not a corpse. He told me the car flipped while trying to pass another vechicle on rt 17. It slid acrossed the median and flipped several times in the air before landing upright on the wheels back in the road. I found all this out this morning when I went to my shop in Gloucester to work on the Lightning...kind of took the wind right out of my sails. This is the 2nd bad car accident my son has been in and both times he lived...this time he was very close to being killed. He will be fine we are hoping with a concusion and a few staples in his head. No broken bones and a few other cuts and a ton of brusies. He'll be a hurting puppy for awhile but he should be fine. I really appreicate all you did for my son Razmus...thank you and your family for being there last night to help him get through all of this.

you'd be surprised how safe DSMs are.. they may not be reliable when modified, but they are pretty safe.. got in a T-bone accident with a blazer.. my car barely moved a few feet.. blazer flipped over.. his pos airbigs didn't even deploy.. my airbags deployed.. no bruises for me.. we were going 45mph.. i literally crashed and then 2 seconds later got out of my car fine.. just a little shaken up by the accident but no bruises or cuts.. other guy on the other hand had to get stitches in his arm and his car landed on top of a road sign.. from what I hear DSMs are pretty safe.. but yeah I'm assuming the car is totalled. DSMs aren't worth very much.

How did the accident occur? "passing another car?"

do you think your son was being reckless...or was this just a freak accident?

 

My son was the passenger in a Accura Integra and not the driver. He lost his right to drive earlier this year and his current car (Talon) is in the shop safely on jack stands. The driver was a an 18 year old high school friend who apparently got to close to the side of the road while passing another car. Inexperience plays a huge part in 99% of these types of accidents. The driver of the car had only minor cuts and bruises where as my son who is 6'-4" was beat up pretty bad from the wreck...size does matter.
I don't know for sure what was going through their minds when they left the gathering at TNT...you know as well as everybody else that people tend to get pumped up when leaving shows, gatherings and drag race events ( I know I do) and most have the feeling that they are driving a high performance vechicle...maybe they did something stupid, maybe they didn't...I just don't know. All I know is I almost lost my only son to a senseless car wreck and I thank god and all his friends for helping him get through it.

man, i didnt know this was here.....it was a preatty good night but it a horrible way to end the night. i went to the hospital and stayed with him till his mom arrived. i wanted to make sure he was ok because i love that kid like a brother, and just wanted to make sure he was fine. no problem WICKDSVT, and oh yeah, i have your video up now....sorry for taking so long
