How much do shops normally charge for labor to replace a clutch for a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am? I normally replace clutches myself but my sister lives in Hollywood, CA so I cant do it.

You dont have to drop the frame, The motor can be disconnected at the exhaust, TB, motor mounts and wiring harness, then it can be lifted out. The trans can be left in the car to replace the clutch. Wish it was local, I could help you out. Check ClupGP.com and see if anyone knows of W-body shops in the CA area. There should be one. They will probably do it around 400-600 including parts and have it done in 4-5 hours. If you find someone who knows these cars its not that difficult.
