Default Directional tires.

Are there any negative side effects to rolling on directional tires in the opposite direction?

i don't know if there is, but i'm sure it was designed to go the right way...kind like driving you car in reverse all the time. you can, but it was meant to go forward.

i had a friend who did that, but he only had the rims on for a few weeks. nothing happened.

I just noticed that my front left camber is a lot worse than the other corners and until I have the $$ to get a camber kit and tires, I was going to rotate one of the tires from the other side that has meat. Doing this will result in a directional tire going the opposite direction. I'll show you how bald my front left tire is compared to the rest and they were all mounted at the same time.

Negative camber

Directional tires are made to maximize resistance to hydroplaning. They must always roll in one direction to maintain its wet traction capabilities. The tread blocks and grooves optimize handling and channel water out of the tires. Don't know if it will ruin your tire, but they were designed to roll in only one direction, and you might be taking a very unnecessary life risk.

I wouldn't do it. Order a camber kit and tire ASAP.

With all the hatches around here, I'm sure somebody can lend you a tire.
