Basic questions here people:

I've already had offers of $1000-$1500....For everything but the engine.
I need this started before the end of the month.

I just need the car to run with some power. Maybe someday, I'll join my newfound drifting brethern (if they will accept me).

 

do you have everything already? trans, rear end? wiring harness?

oh, and it's not an AE86 if it's an SR5.

And to answer your question:
Nope, I got nada. The people I've spoken with only need me to provide the transmission and the engine for the swap. That's all I'm looking to do for now. I'm just wondering if anybody knows someone who's inexpensive and experienced in this particular swap.

well i already know what it takes to beef up my sr5, but that still doesn't answer any of my questions

 

Corolla GTS and SR5 share the exact same AE86 chassis. USDM corollas (rwd 85-87) are all AE86. There are significant differences between the two trim level however.

Good luck on the swap though - its worth every penny if the chassis is in good shape IMO.

i dunno what you're talking about willis...
find me an engine with the ability(ies) that the 4AG-E has/had bone-stock during its time period...
find me an engine that STILL has a race series using only 4AG blocks (other than the 4AG)

 

why not just sell your sr5 and get a gts?
