Is Croc's still open? I've never been there, but I know they had hookah..and belly dancers..

croc's still has hookahs. also i was eating at subway the other day off colonial in norfolk and there was a gyro shop next door that had a bunch of hookahs sitting on a bar. i forget the name of it. i always eat at that subway so i'll see what's up next time i'm there.
if youre just looking to smoke and not the atmosphere, hookahs arent really expensive. i got my hookah for only $65. i looooove that thing. it's really cliche but damn if it isn't relaxing to smoke shisha while hitting the books.

it's a tobacco smoking device that uses a coal placed on top of molasses-covered, flavored tobacco (shisha) to produce a really good tasting, thick smoke that is filtered through water. they produce smoke for a long time and don't actually waste any smoke since the heat isnt directly on the tobacco until you start to inhale.
they're really popular in indian cultures and i'm sure several others as well.

because that's just what hippie college students do. i've never been to a hookah bar before, but i'd imagine it's just like one of those typical coffee bars with open mic nights and all that stuff. lots of girl jeans, black t-shirts, chuck taylors, stretched ears. you know the deal.
but honestly shisha really tastes great and has a very pleasant smell to it. it's fun to smoke.
