1984 vette
can anyone give me an advice about them. i found one in pretty good shape and at a decent price. and im just wondering if its worth it or if im just going to be blowing money
84's are not the best, but they are not the worst. Because that was the first of the C4's, chevy didn't exactly have everything they wanted out of a C4 right yet. There was a couple of things the "vette crowd" didn't like about the eighty four. It was criticized for having too stiff of a suspension, even with the Z-51 suspension package, the performance one. It also did not have the Tuned Port Injection motor, which is started in eighty five, and its hp was rated at 205 with the Cross-fire throttle body injection. Also, the interior was a down point for most of the corvette guys.
But, despite the criticism it can be a nice car. With some nice bolt-ons the car can be making some nice power. Then some suspension upgrades and it will handle very nicely. If the deal is good enough, it can be something worth having, its all up to you. Just watch out for bad grounds and bad alternators.
