I've been trying to decide between multiple cars for awhile now and although i was pretty set on a scion tc i miss my old talon converted to a 97-99 eclipse because the body is beautiful...so now i want to get a 97-99 gst....point of this thread is, what do i look for when purchasing one of these? besides crankwalk...are there any other common problems that show up in used ones?

 

broken door handels bc everyone knows the handles are a piece of shit. knocking and smoking from the turbo. other than that i cant think of anything. i would try and find a stock to lightly modified car. i have a shell thats in great condition 97 gst needs a motor if your intrested let me know

 

a friend of mine had a GS-T for about 3 years and it saw the street about 3 months out of all that time. It went through 4 motors and nothing ever seemed to go right. So i avoid DSMs like the plague

 

chris, seriously. dont buy one. get a tc and be happy. their fun as hell when they do work, but its up to you. deep pockets or empty pockets.

 

maybe i'll just have to get another n/a one.

i would stay clear, seams like every other thread is something breaking on them and they dont get there nicknames for nothing need i remind everyone what DSM stands for, not talking shit stating the obvious.
