Default octane additive

does octane boost actually work
does anyone who uses it notice a difference
does it burn hotter
does it burn cleaner
performance gain?

you obviously have no idea what octane booster actually does.

merf basically answered your question but I'll elaborate. All that booster will do is allow you to run more compression/advanced ignition/more boost. It raises the octane rating (obviously) so mixture becomes less prone to pre-ignition/detonation. Putting it into a stock car will do almost nothing...perhaps making it run worse (depending on the application).

actually adding an octane booster will do almost nothing in regaurds to your octane levels, making almost .5 if you add a full bottle of the NOS brand any others are basically just detergents to clean your engine, but most do nothing for horsepower or torque,my dyno guy has proven it, i would be better to just mix up some 110 with the current gas at the pump, but you actually have to know the ROD and MOD to decide which gas you want which most stations dont advertise

you can go to the store and buy toluene or xylene and mix it 10 or 20%...but yeah, you don't honestly need it unless you are running a beast all motor setup and want to throw more timing on it, or a boosted motor and want to run an extra lb or two of boost.

You are correct, raising the octane does nothing for horsepower or torque....so why did you add the bullshit about mixing 110? It will also add no HP or torque.
