Default wrx turbo question

is was wondering what kinds of turbos anyone around virginia tech have on their wrx's. I am considering getting a new turbo but i would like to hear what people think of their upgraded turbos before i go and get one.

stocker here, but a lot of people switch to vf34's, if bigger power is more your taste than response and function then go for a vf22 or something outrageous, pe series, aps, mitsu green, etc.

It wouldn't fit under the hood so I had to put it on a trailer behind the car and run a lot of piping.. but whatever works, right?

All "turbo envy" jokes aside, I have a VF34 on my car, and it's great. Even with a FMIC, it has virtually no lag, and plenty of power. There are several cars running around here with VF30's or VF34's, and everyone I have spoken to is very happy with them.

Joey had a VF22 on his, and it made good power, but had a pretty good amount of lag. Granted, we never got a chance to tune it properly. It broke the transmission, then he sold it.
