IS there any local junkyards with a 92-95 civic with the heater core intact? I need one bad, and i dont feel like going to the junkyards in MD. Let me know.

 

Man a heater core from a junkyard is a gamble...never know if it will leak or not. Advance auto parts ranges from 69-135 dallors for a couple different kinds, but what ever does the trick for ya I guess. Call G&G auto recycling @ 1-800-368-0854 and talk to Scott, he can always help out in some way. The are located in Winchester, but are on the network so they can look all around VA,MD,DC etc.

 

yeah the junkyard isnt going to be the way to go...the reason they usualy leak or go bad is ...age and execisive removing of the heater hoses.....you pull too hard on them and you can yank the brass/copper pices right out....just buy a new one...remove your dash and replace it

Yea thats what happened with me, i messed up the brass pieces. Are those replaceable?

 

if your good with soder (sp?) you can try to soder back and run some water through it and see if it leaks but if your not...just trash it and replace it
