I got a b17 and i want to get it to 12's in my crx. What parts do i need to get me there money is no object i was in a wreck and i got money out of the deal. I like the b17 so i am sticking with it. What parts will get me to hit 12's I know i need cams and stuff like that but i mean like names and where i can get the product.

 

your going to need something more than cams...try building the motor, maybe boost?? it takes a lot of time and work and parts

Just look around, do some reasearch on what parts are good and why. start with the bottom end, if you got the money buy a nice balanced crankshaft, eagle h beam rods, low compression pistons. Possibly order a GReddy kit from their website. Get your head ported and polished at a shop. depending on how much boost you want to run, you will have to get other things aswell of course, also try lightening up the car aswell. It helps a lot after u have done a few things. horsepower is free'd up when the engine has to do less work of course. So how much money did you get form this wreck anyway? Just curious.

 

its very possible NA, especially in a CRX. Buddy Club stage IV cams, Springs/retainers, Skunk2 intake mani, Comptech or Bisimoto race header, P+P. etc. I would PM JayDM. he knows whats up.

If you are on a budget and you want to go all motor you can get a set of ctr pistons which will raise your c/r to be around 12:1 standard or oversize, thermal coat the pistons. A good p&p buddyclub IV cams are good, some ITB's. A few other things and a good tune. if you had a hydro tranny I would say get a 4.9 final drive for better acceleration. Good setup ecspecially if your on a budget.
